Happy New Year 2008!

Happy New Year! It has been more than a month since I last posted, well it all stopped on the day Sandy, my princfess passed away,... 16th Dec... We, the vet and I believe that she has been poisoned as she was still very active all these while, only to find that she was restless on the 15th Dec, sent her to the vet, n she was pronounced dead on the 16th morning. The vet said that she was passing out blood in her stools, and suspects its some kinda rat poison that she has eaten. I was so sad, i became vegetarian for a week... Will post some of her pictures later,... sigh, so sad. We bought her on the month of March 2004, she was about 8 weeks then. She's an English cocker spaniel, brought in from Singapore. She's very obedient and caring. She gave birth to 5 pups on the 15th Feb 2005, all black (like Felix) and one black and white (Naomi). Naomi passed away on the 7th of Jan 2008, the same symptoms she had like Sandy, I was in KL having Annual Meeting,... sigh so sad after receiving the news from my hubby... i nearly flop! Can u imagine losing 2 beloved dogs in less than a month's interval? This is ridiculous,... I CURSE if/whomever that poisoned them will die in a car accident! This is so cruel as dogs are mens' best friend. Naomi was still so active on Sunday before i left for PJ for one week meeting,... she was still jumping about and Ati has just bathed her,... sigh sigh, why do these happen to them? They are so innocent... sigh... speechless... Now left the poor Felix all alone, guess he's very lonely taht early in the morning as early as 4 am he'll bark, wanting to come out from his kennel. Everyday without fail when i reached home i'll have to bring him out for a walk to poo... It has been the routine now i guess he's being more pampered as the two bitches left him.

HUBBY PREPARED DINNER

Hubby prepared dinner today as Kyle and Isaac was very cliny to me. He prepared the steak and lamb chop we bought over the weekend, the ready marinated ones from Jaya Jusco. By the time he finished grilling them I was feeling very hungry as we came back from work late. When the food was served, I was so happy thinking i can fill my hungry stomach.
When I took a slice of the steak, eeeeewwwwwwww it was lumpy n soft in the middle, tried cutting to see if it is cooked. Well, they were all uncooked hahahha, so he has to regrill them, except for the lamb chop. While he was regrilling the rest, i started eating the lamb chop, hahah sorry i was to hungry then. The lamb chop tastes superb, better than what we cooked on Saturday, probably it's well marinated by now.
I had it with some grilled capsicum and cherry tomatoes, yummy...

When he came back with the steak, we started eating, and gosh... there's no difference between eating rubber and the steak, hahah we both laughed... Guess it was the way the slice the beef or maybe it's an old cow, hahaha... We ended up throwing everything away and instead we had cereal for dinner...
Too bad, but definitely we won't be buying those steak anymore, but the lamb chop is fabulous...

Anyway, I have gained 2 kgs since the last i weighed myself... hmmm guess no food for me anymore... :(

burglary

testing posting thru my phone, see how good isit. My office got broken in thgs afternoon while were away for lunch. We left the office at around 130pm and came back around 240pm. When my colleague opened the door, she say the door knob missing and say d computer bag lying on d floor. She knew something bad would have happened. True enough they were shocked to see their notebooks missing. There were 4 notebooks altogether, all gone. My boss called d police station to file a report and police came ard 15 minutes later. They then went to the bandar hilir police station to lodge a report. Hmmm d moral of the story is even wif the door locked and the alarm on its not safe. So we should becareful all the time.

I cooked!

Went to Tesco after work today. Felt like cooking as don't know what to eat for dinner... Went around buying some ingredients to cook... Thought of Steph's recipe (Bacon wrapped asparagus and salmon bundles) Hmmm, good idea to try it as it's not difficult to prepare. Suppose to cook steak, but when i reach home, found that it was in the freezer, no time to defrost it, i prepared the Bacon Wrapped Asparagus n Salmon Bundles... Initially wa sa bit difficult as Kyle was so clingy to me as he kept wanting me to carry him, so i fed him milk, played with him a while then asked Ati to distract him... Hmmm he must be prety tired today as he slept quite early, even before i finish preparing my meal. Isaac fell asleep on the way back home as he didn't nap in the afternoon today. So pretty easy for me to cook today as not much distraction, otherwise the two kids will be demanding my attention, especially Kyle as though I am gonna leave him. On top of that i baked oyster n needle mushroom... plus some taiwan sausages... Grilled some green, red and yelllow peppers too... hmmm not too bad though that's it... one meal done.

Hmmm trial and error, I must admit my asparagus were too long, suppose to cut it into half. Wrapped with too big bundle of asparagus too, haha too greedy... will have less asparagus next time... Well, not too bad, edible though.

3rd Day At School, Is this the LAST?

Today's Isaac's 3rd day at school and could it be the last? Hmmm, I can't send him today as I am busy and asked Lui to send him... Guess what? He didn't want to go down initially, so dad asked if he wants to see baby Ruben so at last he went down... Apparently the teacher came to the gate to greet him, and wanted to carry him from Lui , he started crying and hugged Lui tightly and didn't want to go down... When i called to check how is he doing in school, I was shocked when Lui told me Isaac's in my mil's shop... sigh...

How to deal with kids not wanting to go school? Any tricks?

Should we be there with him for the first few days? Or should we let him cry for a few days... I was told by the teacher its usual for them to cry and they can handle them... but guess Isaac is now phobia to go to school... I don;t want him to associate school with a bad memory... I want him to enjoy gg to scool everyday and have the impression that school is fun. hmmmm... any advice?
